Shellie started her career in the legal field in Oklahoma at a small firm handling workers’ compensation, personal injury, criminal, and family law matters. She moved from Oklahoma to the Vail Valley in 1996. After living and working as a paralegal in the mountain towns she settled in Northern Colorado. Shellie obtained her paralegal certification and furthered her credentials obtaining advanced certification in trial practice and personal injury (motor vehicle accidents). Her past experience working for the 19th Judicial District as a Court Judicial Assistant and Weld County Department of Human Services Child Support Enforcement Unit as a paralegal provided an education and training outside the private sector. Having rounded out her experience and realizing litigation was work she enjoyed, she joined the Flanders, Elsberg, Herber & Dunn team in 2014.
