Welcoming New Talent
Earlier this summer, we welcomed a new receptionist, Kelsey Stieff. A Colorado native, she streamlines our client intake process and supports our daily operations.
In June, Irena Jensen joined our staff as the office manager. She recently moved from Charlotte, NC, but grew up across the country and studied Culinary Arts and Mass Communications in Louisiana. From keeping our breakroom stocked to managing our social media, her diverse background brings a unique set of skills to our firm.
Our summer office assistant, Lilly Reid, brought fresh, creative energy to the firm. She shared that this position has strengthened her work ethic, maturity, and time management. Some of her most memorable moments have been our team lunches on Fridays, covering for reception, and spending time with her Grammy, Linda Park, a paralegal! She’ll be missed as she starts high school this fall.
This month, we are welcoming a new Estate Planning Associate Attorney, Kristi Long, who previously lived in Montana and served as a senior judicial law clerk.

Office Summer Party
While this summer has seen record-breaking heat, our firm took it as an opportunity to celebrate the hot summer nights with karaoke, great food, and company. Partner Mark Herber's dog, Diesel, stole the show, drawing attention from all over. This evening of laughs and maybe not-so-great music, (Mark & Ted's Shania Twain duet will be unforgettable), let us unwind from work while strengthening our internal connections.
Entering the Podcasting world
Our law clerks, Ashley Humphries and Reese Jensen, alongside producer Irena Jensen, started a podcast – Hearsay Anyway – that offers a behind-the-scenes look at law school, law firms, and the intersection with pop culture.
The first few episodes have covered topics ranging from the 1L (first year) experience to a break down of the movie Legally Blonde, which has been referenced in actual law classes! Visit our Instagram page @fehdlaw, to let us know what else you’d like to learn.

Real Estate Symposium Recap
This past June, Associate Attorney Brian Allard attended and presented in the Colorado Bar Association’s 44th Annual Real Estate Symposium. He shared his topic, Easements: Drafting Agreements and Litigating Disputes.
This symposium provided a refreshing retreat to the mountains, along with CLE and Broker continuing education credits. It also offered valuable opportunities for networking with Title Companies, Brokers, and Real Estate Attorneys, as well as time for reflection.
Upcoming Webinar
On August 31st, Associate Attorney Elliott Browning will be hosting a CLE (Continuing Legal Education) webinar for the Boulder County Bar Association. His topic From Farmland to Solar Farm: A Practitioner’s Guide to Negotiating Renewable Energy Real Estate Transactions, will provide valuable information and CLE credit opportunities.
Brian, BCBA Real Estate Section Chair, will introduce Elliott. The webinar will be from 12:00pm to 1:00pm and tickets can be purchased on the Boulder County Bar Association website.

HOPE Nonprofit Leadership
The non-profit organization, Homeless Outreach Providing Encouragement (HOPE), is another example of our firm’s legacy in action. Associate Attorney Andrew Dunkin became President of the Board of Directors this summer. His service to the Longmont community aligns closely with our firm's mission of supporting the people that make this place home.
Junior Mead Mavericks
We are pleased to announce our sponsorship of the Jr. Mead Mavericks this season as Andrew began coaching his son's 5th-grade team . This nonprofit, volunteer-run program focuses on developing life skills and preparing athletes for future challenges. Our sponsorship supports Jr. Mead Mavericks athletes by opening opportunities both on and off the field.
A Season of Momentum and Looking Ahead
As summer winds down, we anticipate starting our office expansion in early September, with completion by November. Our team continues to grow, and we look forward to growing together with a wonderful community!
